Griffith, Roe to host 21st Century Cures Health Care Roundtable

Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) and Congressman Phil Roe, M.D. (R-TN) on Wednesday, October 22 will host medical experts in a roundtable discussion on how to accelerate the pace of new promising cures and treatments for patients. Topics to be discussed may include but are not limited to: the Food and Drug Administration’s Drug Approval Process, clinical trials, telemedicine, mobile health apps, personalized medicine, and medical research and funding.

Griffith serves. The Committee is seeking to improve the full biomedical innovation process, from the discovery of clues in basic science to streamlining the drug and device development process to unleashing the power of digital medicine and social media at the treatment phase and more. This collaborative effort is about saving more lives, keeping this country the leader in medical innovation, and accelerating the discovery, development, and delivery cycle of new cures and treatments.
