Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA), along with nine other Members of Congress, today issued the following statement: “The members of the Congressional Friends of Wales Caucus warmly welcome the First Minister of Wales, the Rt Hon Carwyn Jones AM, to the United States. While we do not weigh in on the workings of the Welsh Government, we know that the United States has a strong friend in First Minister Jones. The people of Wales and the United States have benefited greatly from their mutual bonds of friendship which span from the founding of our nation to the present day. In light of the recent vote by the people of the United Kingdom to leave the European Union, the Caucus reaffirms the importance of the economic and cultural ties between Wales and the United States of America. We welcome the actions undertaken by the Welsh Government to raise the profile of Wales in America and look forward to ever closer collaboration between our countries in the future. We wish the First Minister every success on his visit.” H. Morgan Griffith Kenny Marchant Ted W. Lieu Doug Lamborn Tom Price, M.D. Jeff Miller Keith Rothfus Bob Goodlatte Charles W.
