ARC Awards $315,000 to Lee County for Water Infrastructure

The Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) has awarded $315,000 to Lee County for the Blackwater Phase II Water Project extending waterlines to underserved parts of the county. Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) issued the following statement:

“Reliable water infrastructure is important for a community’s quality of life. ARC’s award of $315,000 to Lee County for the Blackwater Phase II project will improve the accessibility and quality of water service in some of the county’s underserved regions, benefiting the health and well-being of its residents.”

The project will construct a total of 21,590 linear feet of waterlines and provide a reliable water supply to 21 households.
