Washington,
March 14, 2011
My sympathies go out to the families of those affected by yesterday’s horrific shooting. I was deeply saddened to learn that two deputies had been killed and two seriously injured in the line of duty.
Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) issued the following statement today regarding Sunday’s tragic shooting in Buchanan County, VA. “My sympathies go out to the families of those affected by yesterday’s horrific shooting. I was deeply saddened to learn that two deputies had been killed and two seriously injured in the line of duty. This act of violence is a reminder of the dangers our law enforcement officials face daily. As the community grieves and copes, we will not forget their service, selflessness, and sacrifice. “My continued thoughts and prayers are with the families of William Ezra Stiltner and Cameron Neil Justus who lost their lives, with Shane Earl Charles and Eric Dwayne Rasnake who were seriously injured, the Buchanan County Sheriff’s Department, and the entire community.” ### |
