Many prayers were answered in the Big Stone Gap community today. Mr. Davis’ release from a Pakistani prison is certainly welcome news.
Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) issued the following statement today regarding the release of Big Stone Gap native Raymond Davis from a Pakistani prison. Davis has been held in the city of Lahore since January 27th: “Many prayers were answered in the Big Stone Gap community today. Mr. Davis’ release from a Pakistani prison is certainly welcome news. Over the past several weeks, I have been closely following the situation and in regular contact with the U.S. State Department regarding the detainment of Mr. Davis. I thank the State Department for their tireless work to ensure his safe release. My thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Davis and his family as he returns home to the United States.” ### |
