GRIFFITH STATEMENT ON SBA ASSISTANCE

I am pleased that the Small Business Administration acted so quickly and approved Governor McDonnell’s request for federal assistance.

Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) issued the following statement regarding the Small Business Administration’s (SBA) approval of Governor McDonnell’s request for federal assistance: 

“I am pleased that the Small Business Administration acted so quickly and approved Governor McDonnell’s request for federal assistance. Homeowners, renters, and businesses in Washington, Pulaski, and contiguous counties who suffered damage in April’s tornadoes will now be eligible to apply for SBA loans. These loans will help homeowners and businesses in the impacted communities repair damaged property and continue the recovery process in Southwest Virginia.” 

Counties eligible for assistance:

Primary County:  Pulaski

Contiguous Counties:  Bland, Giles, Wythe, Carroll, Montgomery, Floyd, Radford City

Primary County:  Washington

Contiguous Counties:  Bristol City, Scott, Grayson, Russell, Smyth
