Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) issued the following statement today regarding U.S. Military Service Academy applications: 

“Applications are now available for 9^th District residents who are interested in applying for a congressional nomination to one of our nation’s military academies. As your representative in the U.S. House of Representatives, each year I have the privilege of nominating a limited number of people to four of the five academies. The application deadline for those seeking a nomination from my office is October 15. Best wishes to those pursuing a nomination to one of the U.S. Military Service Academies.”

NOTE:The deadline for submitting a nomination application packet to the Abingdon District Office is October 15 and must be postmarked by that date to be considered. Incomplete or late applications may not be given full consideration. Applicants are encouraged to contact Congressman Griffith’s office to verify receipt.
