Applications for Ninth District residents seeking a congressional nomination to one of our nation’s Military Service Academies are due October 15th.
Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) issued the following statement today regarding U.S. Military Service Academy applications: “Applications for Ninth District residents seeking a congressional nomination to one of our nation’s Military Service Academies are due October 15th. As your representative in the U.S. House of Representatives, each year I have the privilege of nominating highly qualified and committed candidates to four of the five Academies. The honor of attending one of the Academies comes with an obligation and commitment to serve in the military for a minimum of five years upon graduation. “These young men and women will be our next generation of military leaders. If you would like to be considered for a congressional nomination, I encourage you to submit your application to my office by the October 15th deadline. Best wishes to those pursuing a nomination to one of the U.S. Military Service Academies.” NOTE: The deadline for submitting a nomination application packet is October 15th. Incomplete or late applications may not be given full consideration. Applicants are encouraged to contact Congressman Griffith’s office to verify receipt.
