Congressman Griffith released the following statement today after receiving the news that Corporal T.J. Conrad was killed in action:

“I am deeply saddened to hear the news that Corporal T.J. Conrad, who grew up in the Roanoke Valley, was killed yesterday while serving in Afghanistan.  My prayers and thoughts go out to his family.  May God give them comfort during this difficult time.”
