Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) will host two 2018 Congressional Public Safety Grants Workshops on Tuesday, September 11, 2018.

The first workshop will take place on September 11 in Christiansburg at the Montgomery County Government Center, located at 755 Roanoke Street, from 9:00am until 1:00pm. The second workshop will also take place on September 11 from 3:00pm until 7:00pm in Abingdon at the Southwest Virginia Higher Ed Center, located at One Partnership Circle. Congressman Griffith stated the following about the workshops:

“Federal and state resources are available to help first responders be as prepared as possible as they handle emergencies in their communities. I am pleased to host workshops that will showcase the types of grants available and the best practices to win them. The information provided in these workshops will be useful to local police, fire, and EMS departments in maximizing the opportunities provided by federal assistance.”

Ninth District City and County offices have been notified of these events, but anyone working with police, fire, or EMS agencies is welcome to attend.
