Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) issued the following statement after the House Energy and Commerce Committee advanced H.R. 2296, the More Efficient Tools to Realize Information for Consumers (METRIC) Act:

“Many people are rightly frustrated by the high cost of prescription drugs and mystified by the processes by which these prices are set. As part of the solution, I have long advocated transparency, and this is delivered by the METRIC Act. It will help pull back the curtain so consumers can know what is going on behind the scenes and make informed decisions regarding their prescriptions.”

Griffith is a cosponsor of H.R. 2296.
