Griffith Announces $286.9 Million for U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Projects Reducing Flood Risk in Buchanan, Dickenson Counties

Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) issued the following statement after the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced the allocation of $235.6 million to Buchanan County and $51.3 million to Dickenson County for flood risk reduction:

“This announcement of funding from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will lead to the completion of long-term floodproofing projects in Buchanan and Dickenson Counties. With their completion, communities in these jurisdictions will be better protected from the ravages of extreme weather.”
