Ninth District Health Centers Awarded $4,848,350 in Funding to Fight Coronavirus

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has awarded $4,848,350 to health centers in Virginia’s Ninth Congressional District for addressing the coronavirus. Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) issued the following statement: “Many Ninth District residents rely on community health centers, and the coronavirus outbreak makes continued support for them more important than ever. The $4,848,350 awarded by HHS to our community health centers will be money well spent. These funds will support coronavirus testing and treatment as well as maintaining capacity and staffing.” Health centers in the Ninth District supported by this round of funding include: Bland County Medical Clinic, Bastian - $654,440 Clinch River Health Services, Dungannon - $565,175 Free Clinic of The New River Valley, Christiansburg - $619,490 Martinsville Henry County Coalition for Health and Wellness, Martinsville - $637,205 Southwest Virginia Community Health Systems, Saltville - $821,510 St. Charles Health Council, Jonesville - $853,730 Tri-Area Community Health, Laurel Fork - $696,800 ### |
