Griffith Applauds $125,000 Grant to Substance Abuse Taskforce in Rural Appalachia in Tazewell

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) today announced a $125,000 Drug-Free Communities grant to the Substance Abuse Taskforce in Rural Appalachia (SATIRA) in Tazewell. Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) issued the following statement:

“Substance abuse has inflicted tremendous devastation on our families, friends, and neighborhoods. Stopping it must begin in our communities. SATIRA takes up this task in Tazewell County, and the award of $125,000 from the CDC will help it continue important work.”
