The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has awarded a $200,000 Rural Communities Opioid Response (Planning) grant to the Free Clinic of the New River Valley. Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) issued the following statement: “The opioid crisis struck rural areas hard, and Southwest Virginia has been no exception. The HHS award of $200,000 to the Free Clinic of the New River Valley will support prevention and treatment of substance abuse. This grant greatly assists the battle against opioid addiction in our area.” ### |
