The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development has awarded a $1,542,500 loan guarantee to the City of Galax for a ladder truck. Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) issued the following statement:

“Public services in small towns and rural communities can strain budgets and burden local taxpayers. USDA Rural Development’s award of a $1,542,500 loan to the City of Galax to purchase a ladder truck will help Galax deliver improved services to its residents.”
