The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development has awarded to the Town of Marion a loan of $1,018,000 for the purchase of a fire pumper truck and a grant of $139,700 and a loan of $114,300 for the purchase of a sanitation vehicle. The total award amounts to $1,272,000. Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) issued the following statement:

“USDA Rural Development’s award of $1,272,000 in federal funding to Marion for a fire pumper truck and a sanitation vehicle will be a great help to the town as it provides essential public services.”
