The Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration has awarded $70,000 each to three of the 9^th District’s planning districts - the Cumberland Plateau Planning District Commission, the LENOWISCO Planning District Commission, and the Mount Rogers Planning District Commission. Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) issued the following statement:

“Attracting new businesses, private investment, and jobs to Southwest Virginia is a priority of mine. These awards, totaling $210,000, will be helpful to our region for the continuation of economic development planning.”
