Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) applauds the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development for awarding two grants, each $50,000, to Lee County. The fist grant will be used to purchase a sewer jetter to clear pipe obstruction in the Lee County waste system. The second grant will be used to purchase a skid steer, which will assist in implementing various earth-moving projects such as excavating, digging, and trenching in small spaces, and hauling materials.

“I am pleased the USDA Rural Development has awarded these two grants to Lee County, totaling $100,000, to help with a number of their public works projects, greatly benefitting the county’s residents,” said Griffith.
