Griffith Announces $28,181 for Roanoke County Police Department

The U.S. Department of Justice’s Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) has awarded $28,181 to Roanoke County for the improvement of safety for both Roanoke Police Department personnel and the citizens of Roanoke County. This funding, through BJA’s fiscal year 2023 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program, will be used to buy safety equipment for the police department. Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) issued the following statement:

“This funding by the Bureau of Justice Assistance will help the Roanoke County Police Department perform to the best of their ability by ensuring the officers have the safety equipment necessary to serve and protect the citizens of Roanoke County.”
