Griffith Announces $93 Million for Virginia to Help Families Afford Home Energy Costs

Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) is pleased to announce that the State of Virginia has been awarded $93,123,844 from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), through their longstanding Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). LIHEAP is designed to help individuals and families in need pay their home cooling costs in the summer and heating costs in the winter.

“I am pleased that the Department of Health and Human Services has awarded $93 million through their longstanding Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program to help lower income Virginians afford their home energy costs,” said Griffith. “This program has been hugely beneficial to folks in the 9th District and this funding will help many across the state as home heating costs increase.”
