Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) announced today that U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development has awarded $951,650 to the Ramsey Holding Company in Tazewell County, through USDA’s Rural Energy For America Program. The grant money will be used to purchase and install a 789.1 kilowatt (kW) roof photovoltaic system, making six leased buildings more energy efficient.

“The Department of Agriculture’s award of $951,650 to the Ramsey Holding Company will help the company make six of their buildings more energy efficient, bringing down energy costs for the many businesses that lease space in the buildings.”
