Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) announced today that U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development has awarded the Lee Country School District a grant of $740,783, through USDA’s Distance Learning and Telemedicine Grants Program. The grant will be used to equip one hub site and 11 hub/end-user sites throughout Lee Country with interactive teleconferencing equipment.  

“This grant by the Department of Agriculture is great news for students throughout Lee County,” said Griffith. “This new interactive teleconferencing equipment will give over 5,000 students access to essential educational resources, professional development courses, and mental health services.”
