Today, U.S. Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) announced that the Department of Transportation has awarded the Town of Christiansburg $120,000 to develop a Comprehensive Safety Action Plan. Actions plans are aimed at reducing and eliminating serious injury and fatal crashes in a given community.

“In the United States, road crashes are a leading cause of death for people of all ages,” said Griffith. “This grant money from the Department of Transportation will help the town of Christiansburg  develop strategies and projects to curb such tragic accidents.”
