USDA Rural Development Awards $110,000 to the Appalachia Service Project

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Rural Development Housing Preservation program has awarded $110,000 to the Appalachia Service Project. This grant will be used to assist with rehabilitation and repairs of 15 owner-occupied households in economically distressed areas of Lee, Wise, and Dickenson counties. Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) issued the following statement:

“I welcome this critical funding to help Appalachia Service Project rehabilitate 15 households in Lee, Wise, and Dickenson counties. These housing updates will help improve the livelihoods of these rural homeowners.”
