U.S. Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) today announced that the Department of Transportation has awarded the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers $4,535,000 for road repairs at the John Flannagan Reservoir, located in Dickenson County, Virginia. The grant money was made available through the fiscal year 2024 Federal Highway Administration Emergency Relief Program.

“I am pleased the Department of Transportation has awarded this grant money, which will be used to repair roads and associated embankments at the John Flannagan Reservoir, damaged by heavy rain and flash flooding in the area,” said Griffith. “The John Flannagan Reservoir is an important economic and tourist engine for the region.”
