U.S. Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) today announced that the Department of Transportation has awarded the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers $200,000 for road repairs at the Salthouse Branch Park, located in Henry, Virginia. The grant money was made available through the fiscal year 2024 Federal Highway Administration Emergency Relief Program.

“I am pleased the Department of Transportation has awarded this grant money, which will be used to repair Salthouse Branch Park access roads and parking area at the US Army Corps of Engineers Philpott Lake project, damaged by major flooding in May of 2020,” said Griffith.
