Griffith Announces $4,741,195 from Department of Transportation for Road Repairs Across George Washington and Jefferson National Forests

U.S. Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) today announced that the Department of Transportation has awarded three grants worth $4,741,195 to the U.S. Forest Service for road repairs across George Washington and Jefferson National Forests. The grant money was made available through the fiscal year 2024 Federal Highway Administration Emergency Relief Program. “I am pleased the Department of Transportation has awarded the U.S. Forest Service three grants worth $4,741,195, so they may repair roads, embankments, culverts, etc. in the George Washington and Jefferson National Forests, which have been damaged by a series of heavy rains and flooding over time,” said Griffith.
