Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) today applauded the announcement that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke has awarded $406,830 to Virginia Tech for research related to neurological disorders.

“I am pleased that the Department of Health and Human Services has awarded this $406,830 grant to Virginia Tech,” said Griffith. “Neurological disorders affect millions of people, taking a harsh toll on their physical and mental health. This grant will help fund research into parts of the brain related to sharp-wave ripple replay and spatial memory, working to provide greater understanding and relief for those who suffer with these disorders.”
