Griffith Announces $2.1 Million NIST Grant to Martinsville’s GENEDGE Alliance

The U.S. Department of Commerce’s National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has awarded a $2,140,321 grant to the Martinsville-based GENEDGE Alliance through their Manufacturing Extension Partnership Program. U.S. Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) issued the following statement:
“GENEDGE Alliance has an established track record of supporting Virginia’s manufacturing industry, including firms in Virginia’s Ninth Congressional District.”
“This $2.1 million grant helps GENEDGE foster economic activity and growth across the Commonwealth.”
According to NIST, the Manufacturing Extension Partnership Program aims to “provide manufacturing extension services to primarily small and medium-sized manufacturers in the Commonwealth of Virginia.”
