Griffith Announces $545,692 ARC Grant for Wise County

The Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) has awarded Wise County a $545,692 grant. The funding will support the Riverview sewer extension project and connect 22 households to the county wastewater system. U.S. Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) issued the following statement:

 

“Residents in rural areas are sadly prone to lack of access to adequate wastewater systems.

 

“This ARC grant for $545,692 helps Wise County support the public health of its community and its residents.”

 

BACKGROUND

 

The official name of the project is the Riverview Sewer Extension Phase I Project.
