“Small businesses and entrepreneurs benefit from policies that encourage local economic development.
“This USDA Rural Development grant for $50,000 helps the Town of Bedford develop a strategy and adopt a model for attracting businesses to Bedford.”
BACKGROUND
The funding is made available through the USDA Rural Development Rural Business Development Grants Program, which directs funds to promote economic development and job creation projects.
The Town of Bedford will hire a consultant to conduct the study and create a training plan for existing enterprises and those that may be established in the future.
