Griffith Announces $100,000 ARC Grant to Mount Rogers Planning District Commission

The Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) has awarded Mount Rogers Planning District Commission a $100,000 grant. The funding will support disaster recovery efforts and technical assistance to 14 communities devastated by Hurricane Helene. U.S. Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) issued the following statement:

 

“This ARC grant for $100,000 helps Mount Rogers Planning District Commission coordinate disaster relief assistance and guide communities that fall under their jurisdiction.”

 

BACKGROUND

 

Mount Rogers PDC will use ARC funding to perform community outreach, confirm eligibility for multiple funding sources and assist communities with application preparation.

 

Mount Rogers PDC will issue and administer assistance in 14 communities located in the Counties of Bland, Carroll, Grayson, Smyth, Washington, and Wythe, and the Cities of Galax and Bristol.
