Griffith Announces $2,170,696 HHS Grant to Southwest Virginia Community Health Systems

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has awarded Southwest Virginia Community Health Systems, based in Saltville, Virginia, a $2,170,696 grant. The funding will support health centers and the health care services they provide. U.S. Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) issued the following statement:
“This HHS grant for $2,170,696 helps Southwest Virginia Community Health Systems advance medical care and services for underserved populations in Southwest Virginia.”
BACKGROUND
This May, Congressman Griffith announced a separate HHS grant for $2,170,696 awarded to Southwest Virginia Community Health Systems.
Southwest Virginia Community Health Systems operates health centers in Bristol, Meadowview, Saltville and Tazewell, as well as a dental clinic in Saltville and a pharmacy in Bristol.
