The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has selected the Town of St. Paul, Virginia, for a community project partnership. The partnership aims to improve connectivity and safety for pedestrians to access outdoor recreation opportunities from downtown, promote ecotourism and continue steering investments in main street revitalization efforts.
U.S. Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) issued the following statement:
“Southwest Virginia’s beautiful landscape makes the region an attractive location for visitors and residents alike to enjoy outdoor recreation activities.
“This EPA partnership with St. Paul creates a path towards greater investment opportunities for economic development and ecotourism in St. Paul.”
This EPA project in St. Paul will also incorporate brownfield site assessment, cleanup and redevelopment.
