GRIFFITH EXPRESSES DISAPPOINTMENT OVER SOLYNDRA DECISION

Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) issued the following statement after the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Delaware approved nearly $375,000 in bonuses to a small number of Solyndra employees who were not fired in August:

“I’m deeply disappointed that the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Delaware approved $368,500 in bonuses to certain employees.  Last month, I sent a letter to President Obama, along with 53 of my colleagues, asking him to stand up for the American taxpayers and oppose bonuses for certain Solyndra employees.  Sadly, both the President and his Department of Justice (DOJ) stayed silent.

“The simple fact remains, because of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court’s decision and the inaction of the Obama Administration, the American taxpayers are now footing the bill for bonuses for Solyndra employees.”
