Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) released the following statement regarding the SunCoke Energy, Inc. downsizing plan:

“In less than two months’ time, SunCoke has reduced its workforce in Southwest Virginia by 325 employees.  These are jobs that are badly needed by hardworking Americans, their families, and their communities.  I am very saddened by this announcement – my heart goes out to those miners losing their jobs, and to their families as well.  For those impacted by these layoffs, I encourage you to contact my Abingdon office to receive a resource packet.”
