Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) issued the following statement celebrating jobs and investment in Washington County upon the news that Becker Global-America will invest $150,000 and retrain 63 existing employees for operations in the County:

“Becker Global-America’s decision emphasizes the strengths of Southwest Virginia. Here we have a good central location, educational centers from community colleges to Virginia Tech, and skilled workers reputed for their longevity in their employment. The recent uptick in the coal industry has also been helpful in the company’s decision.

“Products made by Becker Global-America can be found from the Disney World Monorail to Indonesia. It is exciting to think that products made in Southwest Virginia can be found worldwide, and to know that Southwest Virginians will enjoy the benefits of these manufacturing jobs and investment.”
