The Federal Transit Administration has awarded the Town of Blacksburg $6,122,038. Funding was provided through the CARES Act and will support response and recovery from the coronavirus outbreak. Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) issued the following statement: “The CARES Act included funding for state and local governments to assist their response to the coronavirus. The award of $6,122,038 in funding to Blacksburg is a major boost to the town’s transit system in the wake of this public health emergency.” Griffith supported the CARES Act, which became law on March 27, 2020. ### |
