Griffith Applauds $50,000 Award to LENOWISCO for Broadband Study
The Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) today awarded $50,000 to the LENOWISCO Planning District for the Tri-State Broadband Infrastructure Feasibility Study. Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) issued the following statement:
“Lack of access to broadband can inhibit economic opportunity and job creation. ARC’s award of $50,000 to LENOWISCO will contribute to closing the digital divide.”
The Tri-State Broadband Infrastructure Feasibility Study will identify the necessary steps to construct a fiber broadband network that could reach every industrial park and commercial site within a thirteen-county region of Virginia, Tennessee, and Kentucky.
