Appalachian Regional Commission Awards $1.5 Million to Russell County

The Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) has awarded a $1.5 million grant to Russell County for the construction of the Three Rivers Destination Center as part of a project to support outdoor recreation. Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) issued the following statement:

“Southwest Virginia’s amazing natural beauty and outdoor recreational opportunities are a great asset for job growth and economic development. ARC’s award of $1.5 million to Russell County for the Three Rivers Destination Center will support continued improvements in our region to draw tourists and outdoor activity enthusiasts. It is a significant investment in Southwest Virginia’s future.”
