The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development awarded a grant of $3 million to iGo Technology for broadband in Washington County, Virginia. Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) issued the following statement: “Reliable internet access provides a gateway to new opportunities for the economy, education, and innumerable other areas. USDA Rural Development’s award of $3 million for broadband in Washington County, Virginia will help meet this vital need and support internet service in the region.” Further Information According to USDA Rural Development, this Community Connect grant will be used to construct a 56-mile Fiber-to-the-Premises system benefiting 887 residents and seven businesses. ### |
